Our Statement of faith..........
We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (Ephesians 4:5-6, 1 Timothy 3:16, 1 John 5:7)
We believe in the divine inspiration of the Holy Scriptures, as contained in the Old and New Testaments of the Bible, as the sole revelation of the mind and will of God, and we accept them in their original form as the divine Word of God. (2 Timothy 3:16; Deuteronomy 4:2; 2 Peter 1:21)
We believe that the Devil, through temptation and deception, initiated the downfall of man and now seeks to destroy the faith of every believer in the Lord Jesus Christ and to hinder the further spread of the Gospel of salvation through Jesus Christ. (Gen 3:1-19; Rom 7:25)
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory to rule over the nations. (John 10:30; Luke 1:26-31; Hebrews 9:28; 1 Corinthians 15:1-7; 2 Corinthians 5:21; Hebrews 12:1-2; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18; Revelations 20:4-6)
We believe that it is impossible to attain salvation through self-effort, but that through simply believing in the atoning death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ and in receiving Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour, we receive the remission of our sins, reconciliation with God and the gift of eternal life.
We hold that every believer’s name is written in the Lamb’s Book of Life and cannot be erased and, therefore, the believer has an eternal salvation secured in Christ. (Ephesians 2:8-10; Romans 3:23-25, 8:35-39; 1 John 2:2; Hebrews 10:10-12; Colossians 1:13,14,20; John 3:16,17,36; Revelations 3:5)
We believe in fulfilling the command of Jesus to baptize believers into the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit and that this baptism is symbolic of our death, burial and resurrection with the Lord Jesus Christ in His redemptive work on the Cross. (Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 2:38-41)
We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; that they are saved unto the resurrection of life and that they are lost unto the resurrection of damnation. (Thessalonians 4:13-18; Daniel 12:2)
We believe that the Church should observe the Communion of the Lord’s Supper as a symbol of the broken body and shed blood of Jesus and of the fellowship of His Church until His return. (1 Corinthians 11:20-34).
We believe in the unique creation of man in the image and likeness of God and that physical life is His sovereign gift. The deliberate killing of the unborn, the sick, disabled or elderly is wrong and an abomination before Him. (Genesis 1:27; 9:6; 30:1,2; Exodus 20:13; Deuteronomy 27:25; Job 1:21)
We believe that Christian marriage is intended by God to be the union of one man and one woman for life, and that Christians should marry only in the Lord. (Mark 10:2-12; 1 Corinthians 7:39).
